I’ve been in the computer/IT service industry for over 30 years now and every so often we run into very difficult problem to diagnose. While the automotive and computer industries are quite different; diagnosing, trouble shooting and root cause analysis skills cross all the services industries. That said, I wanted to call out some outstanding service that Waconia Dodge service team provided for me this past month. My 2005 300c was making a “groaning/rubbing” sound after the car was warmed up and under a drive load condition. Steve and Eric did an outstanding job of sticking with this very difficult problem to diagnose; they stuck with it and after the better part of a week were able to find the root cause and get fixed. I commend them for sticking with it and getting the problem diagnose and fixed in time for me daughter to take to the car to watch the Gophers lose to the Baggers in Wisconsin. I'm pleased and Brett made it sure I was I'm currently a college student and made my first trade in purchase. I was a little nervous buying a used vehicle however, I was determined to purchase a model I could afford myself without my parents' financial assistance. I worked with Brett and Bill and they were both extremely knowledgeable and gave excellent advise on the process of trading in my previous vehicle. The entire process was very simple and Brett made sure I was comfortable and gave me frequent updates when it came to getting the paperwork together. I live in Uptown Minneapolis and the drive for me is about an hour, but I wouldn't hesitate a second to drive down to get my car serviced.

I was able to get this vehicle in for repair on very short order for which I am thankful. As with any vehicle with over 212,000 miles, it needed more done than I expected. Both front and rear brakes, left tie rod end, alinement, and tire rotation. My son and daughter-in- law who own this vehicle how have a vehicle they know will go many more thousands of miles with brakes that will stop them when needed. Thank you to the techs who worked on the van and to the service department for getting it in so soon.

As I drove through the lot of Waconia Dodge to look at available vehicles I saw a male person walking toward me. I asked if he was a salesman and he responded he was. I related to him what I would like to have for my next auto. After walking around the lot I was very attracted to a 2012 Dodge Caliber. I wanted something like a crossover for the height it would provide for getting in and out of the vehicle as I continue to age. The Caliber had that and much more. And it was affordable for me. I am getting accustomed my vehicle and enjoy it more every day. The only difficulty for me is the radio, I find it very distracting and a little bit much for a 75 year old grandma. Wish it had a GPS instead. Other than that I have had many compliments and am looking forward to my first road trip to Illinois sometime soon. I hope I am fortunate enough to be blessed with a long life with my Dodge as I was with my previous Chevrolet Impala. Thank you
